Celebrant, singer, musician, mixed media artist and poet. Born as Gerardus Wilhelmus Theodorus Cornielje on the 12th of June 1962 in 's-Heerenberg in The Netherlands.

My literary roots

I published my first book of poetry at the age of 16. Since then I have published over 30 books in total and I am still writing every day!

In 2011 I was honoured with the 'Zilveren Brandnetel' a Dutch literature prize I received for my poem

"Villanelle voor mijn Vader".

I write my poetry in 3 languages: Dutch, English and German.

Alongside my poetry I create mixed media Illustrations. I use Rebelle 8 Pro for the basis of these images. I work with a wacom Intuos Medium Pad & Wacom Pro Pen 3. In addition to the digital creations I add by hand the final details using various media: ink, oil- and acrylic paints, charcoal, ink, gold- and silver powder, news paper clippings and coloured paper. I sell only originals or very small hand‑finished editions of museum‑quality prints with exclusive framing/certificate. Canvas or Alu diBond.

Major influences in my art are Gustave Doré, H.R. Giger and Picasso. Styles that I like are Expressionism and Cubism. Also the drawing works of Da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer have influenced me greatly.

I recently finished a large book of poetry with the title "Love, Lust & Despair- 100 Erotic Poems" - surrealistic poetry with strong erotic and metaphysical imagery.

The book appeared June 2025 at Amazon as an ebook, paperback as well as a hard cover.

Ende November erschien mein neues Buch in der deutschen Sprache: "50 Grimmige Märchen, Nix für Weicheier" Das Buch erschien im Litego Verlag und ist auf u.a. Amazon erhältlich.
